Caroline & Scott’s Victoria Bath’s Wedding UK

We first met Caroline and Scott back in March at Salford Lads Club for their Smith’s inspired shoot, since then we’ve both been looking forward to this unique Victoria Baths wedding. In Caroline’s first email to us she told us about their venue and even then we felt like it fitted their style perfectly. We knew how the Baths looked on its own but seeing it on the day, decorated beautifully and filled with guests who looked like they had come straight out of a vintage film, really took our breath away.

Caroline and Scott both love he 60’s Mod style and their wedding wasn’t about to buck this trend, from the incredible venue – itself a real treasure of the past, not quite restored to its former glory but enough so that it looks like a stunning piece of history without looking like a modern reproduction – to the energetic Northern Soul dancing everything felt in keeping with the theme. The venue had such amazing spots for couple shots – especially some very vintage looking wallpaper – that we were spoilt for choice!

One thing we love about our style of photography is that we seem to get a fantastically diverse range of weddings, from Churches to Tipi’s, Barns to Country houses it would be easy to try to claim we’ve seen it all. The truth is weddings now are more individual than they have ever been and we are constantly amazed by the extent of our couples imagination and individuality. Caroline and Scott are the perfect example of this and we feel proud to have captured their day.

Laura & Lawrence’s Priest House Wedding

We always love weddings that feel a bit different, we’ve had some unique locations, off beat themes and a whole range of different running orders for what used to be the most traditional of days. I suppose in many ways our style lends its-self to this kind of wedding far more than the more formal affairs.

Laura and Lawrence chose the beautiful Priests House for the wedding venue and were keen to make sure their day was modern, relaxed and personal. They asked guests to dress a little more casual than most weddings and opted to do away with the idea of a formal wedding breakfast. Instead the afternoon was filled with laughter, outdoor games and even a keg (As well as a few hours spent attempting and failing to get phone signal to check up on the Tour De France stage result.) The Priest House was just up the road from where Verity and I got married 6 months ago, we love this area and being able to go back every now and again to capture someone else’ special day is amazing.

Fortunately the weather was perfect for their outdoor games and it seemed like the day went exactly how Laura and Lawrence had envisioned. Weddings are always long days for us, on our feet and shooting away for at 12-16 hours at a time we often get back late at night completely shattered but always pleased with a day’s hard work. Somehow, despite the heat, the trekking to locations for a couple shoot and the sheer amount going on, we left the Laura and Lawrence’s wedding feeling as though we’d have happily shot for another few hours thanks to some of the friendliest guests we’ve ever met and a few shared interests! (not including a good few midge bites along the way!)

Andrea & Carlo – Wedding in Umbria (Italy)

This was an exciting and really intimate wedding, celebrated in Bevagna, one of the most characteristic village of Umbria.

Andrea and Carlo were married in the San Silvestro church, a perfect example of romantic style. A great choir of about 20 members is coming directly from Belgium to animate the religious ceremony; the historical residence L’Orto degli Angeli have done the perfect frame of the getting ready and the reception.

Wedding in Croatia

This is lovely and charming couple we met after a short email correspondence. Their desire was to make with us a few photos in the very center of Zagreb and the surrounding streets. During two hours of filming, we managed to get to know each other, talk about everything, have a drink and laugh until we cried.

Their wedding was after shooting with us. We are very sorry for not attending it, but everyone knows what they say – first come, first served.

Later we found out that the party was great and they were after the show visited by Tomislav Bralić and klapa – to surprise of everyone, including the bride and groom . The idea originally came from Višnja and Zdravko Pevec. The only thing that we can say to them is congratulations! Do not forget that information – the wedding was held in Bjelovar.

Now back to the photos, along with video, the only thing that remains after all the ceremonies, organization, bustle and other sweet wedded torment. Of course, there is always love, because of love all of that happened.
