{rachel + dave}

Hey there…it’s the Vue Chicks! The past few weeks we’ve been tip-toeing, gallivanting, and meandering our way through 2010’s archives! Rachel and Dave’s wedding was one of our favorites…the evening was energizing and utterly intoxicating {figuratively, not literally!}

Abigail Winters - February 11, 2011 - 12:13 pm

Wow … another great photographer on BOWP! I just love the photo of the anticipation and joy you caught on Dave’s face while he waited for his bride to come down the stairs.

Alexandria Kokostatis - February 11, 2011 - 12:21 pm

Very nice wedding images. The photograph of the whole wedding party at the beach under the palm trees is brilliant!

Maia Chase - February 25, 2011 - 9:51 pm

Hmm … I received an error message so I will try again. Your work is beautiful (all of it) and my favorite photos were of the bride and groom dancing. Such fun .. such emotion.

Robert Speck - March 1, 2011 - 10:29 pm

You managed to capture so many emotions that day — the tears of joy, the pure happiness, as well as so much fun. Beautiful set of images.

From Jeopardy! to Navan, Ireland

On December 30th, Genevieve Sheehan from Tampa Florida & Troy Meyer from Brecksville, Ohio were married in St. Mary’s Church in Navan, Co Meath, where her grandparents had tied the knot 56 years previously. They met through the TV show Jeopardy! – the story behind how they met was so special that that New York Times sent a photographer and reporter to cover the story. Take a look here. These are some of my favourite shots from the day:

Abigail Winters - February 11, 2011 - 12:16 pm

Fascinating black and white photos. And such a wonderful wedding story … meeting on Jeopardy … plus the element of history … marrying in the very same church where her grandparents were married. Thanks for sharing this!

Alexandria Kokostatis - February 11, 2011 - 12:23 pm

The last three images are simply amazing. I keep looking at them over and over again.

Matthew Lee - March 14, 2011 - 11:25 pm

Such extraordinary work and perfection. You are fabulous and an inspiration to aspiring photographers. And Genevieve and Troy must be over the moon with these fantastic memories to view over and over again. Any bride and groom who is lucky to have you photograph their wedding is lucky indeed. Forget the lottos .. this is much better.

Love black and white for the wedding photojournalism

I love the realism of natural light and the contrast of shades of white and black, I love photography and film scene, the story with images that convey emotion and authenticity; Here are some of my black and white image from recent in the last few weddings last year.

 These images represent my work and my wedding photojournalism

Alik+Olya Engagement :: Chukotka, Russia

I would never imagine that one day I will photograph engagement session literally on the end of the earth. Yet, a week ago I came back from Pevek – northest city in Russia where I photographed engagement of my two good friend – Alik and Olya.
I met Alik in Fresno, CA where we went to the same school, and Olya is a good friend of mine back from Moldova. Both of them decided to move to North for a long-term mission serving people of Chukotka.
Olya and Alik decided to make their engagement very special, so they dressed in national Chukotka clothes.
