Justin + April Detroit Michigan Wedding

Justin and April were the sweetest couple in the world! They are both adorable and very natural. Their beautiful wedding took place in Metro Detroit Michigan. Their ceremony was at the White House Wedding Chapel with the reception following at Fern Hill Golf Club.

Last weddings of the year are always my favourite especially when you know after that its HOLIDAY!!!

Until the following year when you have a pile of close to 10 weddings to edit, print and deliver before February is over. But I cannot complain, I still love my job.

I’m tempted to say it was a simple wedding but it was not. From decor to suppliers, this was a wedding worth shooting. Everything took place at one location apart from the photo-session which was at an undisclosed location in Runda. Interesting part was to come back from the photo session only to find the women in the most jovial mood I have ever seen, I would bet alcohol had a role to play in all that. Here are the pics that endowed the day and feel free to share.

Choosing The Best Wedding Photographer (Infographic)

The infographic, Choosing The Best Wedding Photographer, was created by Digby & Rose.  They are a design and print studio located in Washington DC, specializing in luxury wedding invitations designed for letterpress. In addition to their invitation designs, they created this fantastic infographic for couples looking for some advice on picking a wedding photographer.

In the infographic below, you will notice that the average cost of a wedding photographer is $2,320.  You will also notice 10 questions that brides should ask their photographers.  If you are a bride reading this, definitely send BOWP photographers an email and they will be happy to answer any questions that you have.

We hope you enjoy the infographic as much as we did and that it helps you choose the best photographer for your wedding.

So very happy to have an amazing top photographer supply this information for your brides and grooms — going to make my decision easier.

Ken Tan - May 1, 2013 - 2:25 pm

Great list! Definitely helps out both the photographer and bride and groom!

Lena - August 20, 2013 - 7:09 pm

I would probably cry if a bride gave me a shot list. It’s so restricting to get a shot list for a wedding, and if you’re hiring a good photographer to begin with, it’s insulting to tell them what to shoot.

Also, it’s SUPER annoying to have brides copy & paste the generic questions, what’s your style? What does it matter how I describe my style, you’ve seen it and obviously like it so why must I put it in words? Why don’t YOU describe why you like it so much?

I dunno, just some input from a professional wedding photographer on how it feels to be sent these kinds of questions.

I love infographic posts and this one is just oerfect. It’s simple and easy to understand, and it’s got some excellent wedding questions too. Thanks for a great read.

Jenny Lens - August 28, 2013 - 9:59 am

Love it thanks! What do you think of the “pro” photog who said they’d CRY if given a short list? Oy, I’d stay AWAY from that photog if I were either a bride or second shooter or assistant. Talk about a diva! It’s ALL about the bride, groom, their parents. WHO cares what the photog thinks? We’ve got a job to do and that’s to please our clients, those getting married and those paying for it! Of course our creativity is vital, but most brides have lists, long and short. This is very helpful! IMHO.
