Caroline & Joe’s York Wedding

We last saw Joe and Caroline back in April where we met their two sons Elijah and Jacob the kids quickly became the stars of the shoot and it was great to stand back and watch such a lovely family. Since then we’ve had a jam-packed summer but we’ve both been especially looking forward to their Papakata wedding in York. We loved what everyone wore on the day, from Caroline’s floral dress to Elijah and Jacobs colour coordinated Converse – not to mention Joe’s fantastic waistcoat and collarless shirt! We’ve seen lots of different and equally fantastic decorations but I don’t think we’ve ever seen such diverse and thought out table details, with each one following the theme of a country they had visited. There were so many ‘moments’ in this wedding that we really couldn’t narrow it down any more than we have for the blog, everyone was so full of excitement and joy that the rain did absolutely nothing to dampen spirits. At the end of the evenings shooting we both felt like we could quite happily have stayed all night, there’s clearly a reason everyone had so much fun on the day and I can see why, Joe and Caroline are just great fun to be around!

Vicky & Scott’s York Wedding UK

It’s great when we get the chance to see couples again after the wedding and every so often that happens sooner than normal, this weekend we shot Julia and Dave’s wedding in York where we saw Scott and Vicki in the evening, it was lovely to hear about their incredible honeymoon and we were both really pleased to have a quick catch up. We promised Vicki we’d get a preview up today so we’ve been working hard to make sure we can!

When we met Vicki and Scott a few months back we both felt like they were just the kind of couple we love to shoot for. Neither of them enjoy having their photo taken and – like many others – found the whole prospect of two photographers following their day a little daunting. For us one of the most rewarding things about our job is showing couples how great they looked on their wedding day without having to pose and feel awkward. In a week of showers we were lucky enough to have great weather throughout (With the exception of a small shower before the wedding breakfast) and Vicki’s awesome short dress looked fantastic. The Papakata Tipi’s fitted in perfectly at Vicki’s sister’s house which was an incredible venue for the day, the ceremony was held at the beautiful St Olaves church in York.

Mario e Viviana – Cathedral of Syracuse

Mario and Vivian Syracuse wedding was a family party perfect, this was a really nice wedding. The ceremony in the Cathedral of Syracuse incorporating what was a temple dedicated to Athena (Minerva), The reception was Azienda Agricola Pupillo located a few kilometers from the archaeological park. Syracuse is a picture-postcard come to life with its old churches, quaint cobbled streets and pristine beaches of Ortigia, this beautiful resort that captures the essence of Sicily. This place is a dream wedding photographers, can not wait to return.
