I had the chance to shoot in one of the most beautiful Cyclades Island in Mykonos, Greece. This was a beautiful intimate wedding with a Brazilian bride and Slovenian groom. The getting ready took place in Paradise Beach Resort then we move near to Fabrika to do the ceremony.

Bride and groom describe their wedding photography at Santorini.
This time, the description of this wedding day at Santorini will be done in a different, than the usual, way.
I just received Josh’s and Khristina’s testimonial that describes their wedding and most importantly their wedding photography experience with me as their wedding photographer at Santorini island – Greece. So, better if let them “speak.”
Here is their review, as received.
“We hired Athanasios for our wedding photoshoot and wedding at Santo Wines Winery in Santorini and then the reception at PyrgosRestaurant Santorini in September 2018, and we can’t recommend him highly enough.
We had no experience with photoshoots and were very unsure about what we needed to ask for, or where to take great photos. Thankfully Athanasios had everything under control and was able to recommend some amazing places and direct us through our day.
Regarding photography, Athanasios helped the day go smoothly, which helped us to keep calm on the day – one less thing to think about.
Most importantly, Athanasios provided us with hundreds of amazing photo memories that we will cherish forever.
Thank you so much, Athanasios!!”
As a wedding photographer during summer time, I am almost a permanent citizen of Santorini due to the huge demand on wedding projects.
Santorini is always regarded to be as one of the top 3 wedding destinations worldwide every year! The breathtaking views, the unique Cycladic architecture, the perfectly combined colors of white and blue, in addition to three words that begin with letter S (Sea, Sun, Summer) create the most attractive vibes that a place has to offer!
Stephanie and Michelle brought all their relatives and friends from Canada, US, Lebanon, and Greece, to the spectacular destination of Santorini island!
This is the reason why this lovely couple (and new friends for me now) choose Santorini for their wedding destination.
The remarkable element of this wedding was its party vibes!!
They picked the place of event carefully and they were spot on for what they were looking for…. View to the caldera and party vibes combined with the above-described elements that Santorini has to offer.
Their selection, hotel La Maltese at Imerovigli and Budha Bar at its premises for the reception was just perfect!!
We had a “wedding portraits” photo session immediately after the ceremony as the clock was ticking and we had fun and laughs while completing this photography stage. Guests were enjoying the view (and the drinks of course) and probably we offered them a show as well as they could see us from a distance at some point. The couple made their entrance, food was served and … let the party begin!!!!!
May I take the opportunity to thank Stephanie and Michel for making me the honor choosing me as the photographer of their wedding but mostly for the flattering comments I received from them!
Here is what they wrote to me…
“The pictures were absolutely amazing! We love them!!!!! We could not have asked for a better photographer:) We really appreciate everything you did for us.”
An intimate wedding anniversary photography session at Santorini island – Greece, renowned as one of the top 5 wedding destinations worldwide!
I received an email from Jon and Jen asked me to be their wedding photographer or more precisely their anniversary photographer.
Even their names match of this lovely and still in love (after a decade!!) couple from the USA!!
Now that I met them, I feel glad that I was available and undertook their photography project.
We started from their hotel at Oia village, I peaked them up from there, and we continued strolling within the graphical alleys of Oia.
My first impression was that they were a beautiful couple and my impressions were enriched by the quality of their personalities and the cooperative spirit they had!
Most of all, what impressed me was the feeling they share with each other after a decade of marriage. I was looking through the lens while photographing them and they were whispering to each other words of love and their body language was “shouting” these words!!
As I found out later, the guitarist and the planner had the same thoughts with me, and we all commented that it is extremely rare to find people feeling like that after a ten years marriage!!
After Oia, we moved to Imerovigli area and continued with the photo session. It seems that we got carried away as we enjoyed it very much and we realized it after receiving a phone call from the wedding planner who got a bit worried about the time plan.
We headed back to Oia and found somewhere park, a parking space that Jon characterized it as “creative” parking, just inches separated our car from other vehicles and the main road (I guess you need to be “creative” in such manner when parking at Santorini and Greek islands 🙂
I changed my clothes and wore something more appropriate for the ceremony that I was about to attend. (oh, there is no way to photograph at Santorini under the hot sun and sometimes extreme temperatures wearing a suit!)
And what an intimate ceremony that was!!
The hotel is called Mystique and not by chance! The balcony was just ideal for their vows renewal; the ceremony was intimate, simple and sentimental! In the company of the guitarist’s beautiful melodies, Jon and Jen danced for at least an hour non stop, enjoying the scenery and the nights refreshing breeze!
I was there to record that and here are the photographic results!
We arranged a new photo session of vows renewal with Jon and Jen after ten years!
