Bahamas wedding photographers rejoice! If you’re looking for a little bit of tropical paradise for your wedding you don’t need to travel far. Hit the Bahamas, just 50 miles southeast of Florida for some sun, romance and close-to-home Caribbean flavor. Whether you’re in the mood for an adventurous get-away or a serene ceremony by the seashore, the Bahamas will be sure to please. With more than 700 mostly uninhabited islands and more then 2400 cays, there’s plenty to explore. Just be sure to take your Bahaman wedding photographer with you to capture every memory! The main islands boast many beautiful, traditional chapels for a formal religious ceremony – which can be followed by a festive beach-side party. Or, consider one of the many stunning natural areas for your nuptials. The 12-acre Garden of the Groves botanical center on Grand Bahama Island is always a big hit. There, you can exchange vows in front of cascading waterfalls, near lush tropical flowers, in the Grecian-style gazebo or in the chapel. For something a little more grandiose, consider the 12th-century French Cloisters at the Versailles Gardens (part of the One and Only Ocean Club Resort on Paradise Island). This exquisite property overlooks Nassau Harbor. Of course, there are also plenty of white and pink sandy beaches for a ocean-side ceremony. And for the more nautical at heart, you can always charter a boat or yacht to make it a floating wedding party. For the truly adventurous, you can really take the plunge by getting married scuba style – just be sure to alert your Bahamas wedding photographers in advance to be sure the team brings under-water gear! Whatever you choose, be sure to tack on a few extra days to soak up the sun and to enjoy the natural beauty of this special gem. And while you’re at it … consider a “day after” photo shoot, or if you’re brave, a trash the dress session. If your wedding photographer brings an underwater camera housing, you can even explore some of the islands many beautiful underwater caves with your beloved for some truly unique and romantic post-wedding pics.
