Sheryl and Steven’s hometowns are more than 4 hours away from each other in Canada and North America,they met whilst studying for their PHDs at Leeds University. It was fascinating hearing about their research trips and the places and buildings they have seen along the way. They opted for an intimate, unique day in Harrogate with friends and family travelling from Canada, Columbia and America.<\/p>\n

It was important to both Sheryl and Steve that the day was their style which they both felt was rather unorthodox. In many ways they were right, but we loved seeing the bride and groom have their \u2018first look\u2019 before the ceremony, seeing them walk down the aisle together and opting for conversation rather than speeches. In fact, as unorthodox as the day may have been it was, at its heart, everything a wedding should be. Family and friends all coming together, learning about each other and seeing how two people continue to touch the lives of the people close to them.<\/p>\n

Yorkshire is certainly our home, but spending the day with Sheryl, Steven and their guests reminded us that it really is all about the people, not the geography.<\/p>\n
