We are Concept Photography, a husband and wife shooting team that travels the world in search of amazing weddings and awesome clientele. Our company was designed through the simple idea that there should be a higher standard for creativity, performance and fun in the wedding photography industry.

We travel anywhere and everywhere with the intention of transforming the wedding scene – by picking it up, breaking the status quo, shaking it some more, and putting it back in a new and better form.

I am an average guy who likes to take meaningful and emotional photographs! I believe that every photograph I take is an extension of my soul and my being. I insert a piece of me in every photograph i take. On wedding days, I take the pictures that are interesting to me, that have meaning and emotion and that are full of life. I take them with energy, love and the desire to freeze time for people to remember. I am not a traditional photographer. I am a photojournalist – a documentary- photographer. On wedding days, my pictures tell stories. i am unobtrusive. I let things – stories, in particular- unfold in front of me and take pictures of them as creatively as i can. My images tell stories about people… people that are madly in love, and their familes and friends who love them. I encourage you to look around and see if any of my stories speak to you. My approach to wedding photography is to focus in on the emotions of the day. I concentrate on the natural, unscripted, flow of events and capture special moments as they unfold organically. I strive to create timeless meaningful photographs that are full of life. Each wedding is an adventure and each couple inspires my work. This approach allows me to create images that reflect the unique character of my clients and their weddings.

Wedding photography is a lifestyle that connects me with amazing people and sees me travel to destinations around the world. When I am not on the road photographing weddings I am hanging out in Charleston, SC with my husband Lance, our entertaining son Evander, and our loving dog Emma.

I have documented everything you can possibly imagine. I have shaken hands with Presidents, photographed celebrities, covered NCAA Final Fours, MLB playoffs, the Pope, the Olympics, political conventions, hurricanes, the NBA Finals, the Super Bowl, international presidential inaugurations and many other historic events I can’t even remember. In other words my editors trusted me to bring the story home for them and our readers.

Now, I solely document weddings. Why weddings? I love moments. Moments are timeless and only occur once in a lifetime. I adjust to you and the environment as it unfolds before me. I document reality. Nothing I do photographically is contrived or mentally prefabricated. In return you will receive images with a fresh perspective, unique to only you and the wedding day. My work is consistent and has a style which is made for weddings.

As photojournalist myself, I was pretty picky about choosing a photographer to document my wedding day. I spent a lot of time researching wedding photographers in the area, and I was so happy to come across Azul Photography. They stuck out because for their ability to beautifully capture genuine moments. Christobal was a total professional (on the wedding day). He was calm, prepared, unobtrusive, and willing to adapt. Basically, he was the opposite of me on that day, and that’s exactly what we needed.”

Yes, I have consistently won awards through my 20 years as a photographer. They are a part of my life but do not define me. I believe awards always arrive when you are doing something worth looking at. I am thankful for the opportunities to create something worth looking at everyday.
