Paul Johnson Photography

Paul and Mecheal Johnson’s time behind the camera is split between capturing wedding days and family or individual portraiture. Though Paul had the history as a photographer before he met his wife Mecheal (he shot his first wedding at age 12), they quickly became a husband and wife team, always shooting together since their first joint wedding in 1996 when Paul Johnson Photography was born. As Mecheal says, “We photograph every wedding or family session together. We do not shoot independent of each other. We feel like what we deliver to our clients is very dependent on this.” Aside from shooting in and around their home base of Rosemary Beach, Florida, Paul and Mecheal travel often for their clients, whether to Scotland, Mexico, or the Bahamas. Paul’s passion for photography may nearly be matched by his coffee obsession, as he owns a professional LaMarzocco espresso machine and has freshly roasted espresso beans shipped to the Johnson’s home once a week from Seattle. Weddings the couple has shot have been featured in magazines such as Weddings Unveiled, The Knot, and Brides.
