R. J. Kern is an award-winning Wedding Photographer in Denver, Colorado and is a member of the International Society for Wedding Photography and the Artistic Guild of Wedding Photojournalist Association. By balancing emotion with dynamic energy, R. J. involves his clients in his visual clarity and a thoughtful appreciation of light. He takes a fresh approach to wedding photography using a blend of candid photojournalism, modern portraiture, and fun, real-moment photography. His edgy style comes with flair and contagious enthusiasm. R. J. willingly shares his gregarious spirit, ability to use creative light, and respect for tradition with all his clients.
R. J. majored in Art & Art History and Environmental Geography from Colgate University and holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder. He started his career with five years serving the National Geographic Society and his inspiration by some of National Geographic’s finest photographers still continues today.
He returns calls & emails within 24 hours. If not, he is probably exploring some of the world’s most remote regions along with his wife, Nicole, and his Nikon camera.
