I recently photographed an engagement shoot at an awesome location in Portland, the Kennedy School. It’s notorious for being very low lit and orange-ish lighting but we took full advantage of it.

I love the realism of natural light and the contrast of shades of white and black, I love photography and film scene, the story with images that convey emotion and authenticity; Here are some of my black and white image from recent in the last few weddings last year.
These images represent my work and my wedding photojournalism

I would never imagine that one day I will photograph engagement session literally on the end of the earth. Yet, a week ago I came back from Pevek – northest city in Russia where I photographed engagement of my two good friend – Alik and Olya.
I met Alik in Fresno, CA where we went to the same school, and Olya is a good friend of mine back from Moldova. Both of them decided to move to North for a long-term mission serving people of Chukotka.
Olya and Alik decided to make their engagement very special, so they dressed in national Chukotka clothes.

I recently did a very fun photo session with one of my couples in rural Alberta! Here are some favorites of Sheldon and Laural.
In Sheldon’s mother’s barn – such cool light!

This old pub was wonderful! Totally old school, down to the sawdust on the floor! I really loved it in there!

Our wonderful bartender!

Some neat details! Those are some cheap beer prices!
